I have been looking for a new cleanser to try because I have never really owned a proper cleanser and had a skincare routine. I have recently been quite stressed and getting blemishes more frequently, I also really needed a new make up remover that would remove all my makeup, even my eye makeup. Then my mum discovered Lancome's cleanser Galatéis Douceur and I had to have my own. I went and visited the Lancome counter at Myer looking for the product and they ended up talking me into purchasing the Tonique Douceur toner as well and I could not be more happier with how these products make my skin feel.
Lancome - Galatéis Douceur
The Galatéis Douceur comes in a plastic white bottle with the signature Lancome rose stamped on it. Personally, I love the packaging and the shape of the bottle. The bottle cap is a simple pull of transparent lid and I find it quite annoying because when putting the lid back on you have to line it up properly or else it wont fit, I would much rather a screw lid. The bottle is also a pump bottle, which is very convenient as it dispenses the right amount of product.
Galatéis Douceur is a light milky cream. I apply the product with my hands on my slightly damp face and massage it in for at least a minute. It is extremely gentle on the face and eyes. I then remove the product with a cotton pad and it leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. It doesn't leave any residue like most makeup removers, which is a major plus for me!
For the amount of makeup I wear daily, this cleanser works perfectly as a makeup remover. I do not wear foundation or anything heavy like that but I do find that it takes my mascara of perfectly. Usually I use 1-2 pumps but when removing makeup I sometimes use 3 or 4 which is no biggy.
I think that this is the perfect cleanser for me and I actually look forward to removing my makeup with it. I love how to leaves my skin feeling so moisturised afterwards and would definitely repurchase it (although it is quite pricey)!

Lancome - Tonique Douceur
Just like the Galatéis Douceur cleanser the Tonique Douceur comes a transparent plastic bottle with the signature Lancome rose stamped on it. I love the lid on this bottle as it is a screw cap and is very easy to put on and get off. This bottle is just like a classic toner bottle where you have to put a cotton pad up to the lid and let the product seep onto the pad.
Tonique Douceur is a blue water like liquid and has a nice 'toner' smell. It has never stung my face unless I have recently picked a blemish. I apply the toner onto a cotton pad and rub the pad around my face until clean, I do not wash my face afterwards as the toner does not leave any residue like most toners.
I feel that I use the toner a lot fast than the cleanser which is a bit annoying but whatcha gonna do?
I love both of these products when they are used together as they leave my skin feeling smooth and refreshed every time I use them.
